Liz Urtecho for City Council
SQUARESPACE WEB DESIGN FOR POLITICAL CAMPAIGN
Project Overview
Liz Urtecho needed a website for her campaign to run for Hoboken City Council. She wanted a simple website to introduce herself to the community, share her platform, and raise money. After working with Liz on the successful launch of the Hoboken for Responsible Cannabis website, I was honored to work with her again on her campaign website.
Liz provided professional photography and a logo and we worked together to choose a color palette that included her favorite color red with a patriotic color theme. The design is simple and professional to highlight Liz and her campaign.
We also implemented Squarespace Email Campaigns so Liz can send out campaign communications that match the visual design of her website.
I used customizations to add in some unique styling including the header newsletter block, events page, and alternating the logo color on different pages.
Liz wanted the ability to gather input from her constituents before launching the page on her website with her platform priorities. We did this with an easy to update accordion block for her priorities and a simple flip-of-a-switch with section swap outs, to turn on the page when she is ready.
Liz has officially launched her campaign for Hoboken City Council with a website that can grow with her as her political career takes off!
“Shannah has a step-by-step process that supports the inexperienced client through the web design project.”
“She has the patience to explain the process and will circle back when you don't understand something. She always came up with creative solutions and options that improved the website. For someone who knows nothing about web design, Shannah is the perfect resource.”
